I am a student counsellor completing my Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology at Yorkville University, and I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Simon Fraser University. My passion for counselling began through personal experiences supporting family members and friends as they navigated mental health challenges. These formative experiences instilled in me a deep belief in the healing power of connection and the importance of creating a space where people feel genuinely seen, heard, and supported.

My approach is integrative and person-centred, grounded in empathy, respect, and compassion. I bring a calm, grounded presence to my work and strive to offer a safe, non-judgmental environment where clients can explore their thoughts, emotions, and experiences freely. I welcome clients from all walks of life and consider it a privilege to walk alongside them in their journey toward growth and healing.

My approach to therapy is that you are the expert on your life and experiences, so my role is to help you to find the best way to move forward and to empower you to take those steps towards wellness. I use an integrative approach, which means that I will collaboratively choose interventions with you that best suit your needs and your preferences.

Jessica is a dog mom who enjoys a great book. She is looking forward to hearing your story, and the role that she can play to support you in changing it for the better.

“Therapy is about understanding the self that you are. But part of getting to know yourself is to unknow yourself - to let go of the limiting stories you’ve told yourself about who you are so that you aren’t trapped by them, so you can live your life and not the story you’ve been telling yourself about your life.” - Lori Gottlieb, Psychotherapist

I am a practicum student, completing my master’s in counselling psychology, qualified to practice under the clinical supervision under an approved supervisor, thankful for this opportunity to hone my craft while being able to offer non-judgment support to those from all walks of life. Thank you for providing me with the opportunity to share in your journey, and for trusting me with your story.

I come from a lived experience of military life, family systems and care for those with developmental disabilities, and crisis support. I am trained in Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST). Utilizing client-centered approaches to create a safe space for people to explore themselves and their struggles; to help others grow as they develop and understanding of the past to inform them of the present, and help to heal the future. I believe in trusting in a person’s autonomy, recognizing that they know themselves and their situation better than I could, but may need help in seeing it from another angle. Mental health is connected to all parts of our being, so approaching wellness requires a holistic approach and acknowledgement of not just our mind, but also our physical body, spirit, and environment.

As long as there is life there is hope. – Ruth Minsky Sender

Hello, I am a practicum student completing my Master of Arts in Counselling at Yorkville University. I am mindful that choosing to attend therapy can be challenging and even painful at times. I can provide clients with a safe space to be vulnerable while learning about themselves and their emotions while working towards their therapeutic goals. I work with a client-centred, trauma-informed, neurodiversity-affirming lens and use a collaborative, purposeful approach. I can help clients with depression, anxiety, stress, Autism, ADHD, birth trauma, fertility struggles and parenting. I enjoy reading, cooking, hiking, travelling, and camping with my family and old pup.
